The shoe that fits one person pinches another; there is no recipe for living that suits all cases.
Collaborating with you on your path toward healing, meaning, and greater satisfaction in life is a true privilege for me. We will set goals and find solutions together, as a team, in a safe and confidential setting. Often people arrive at our door feeling ignored, ashamed, or worse, labeled as "sick" and in need of cure. It is part of my personal philosophy and training to think of every new client as a dignified whole human being--the ultimate goal then is to increase your quality of life not just treat the sickness.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at The Place Within, I see clients of all ages and ethnicities working through a wide range of circumstances. As Carl Jung suggests above, there is no single recipe for psychotherapy. I use a variety of approaches depending on your specific needs as a client.
My undergraduate studies in education and experience as an instructor working with children and teenagers has given me a special appreciation for the importance of early developmental years. I also have experience working with adults and facilitating groups dealing with substance abuse.
At one point or another we all could use some help. I believe psychotherapy could be a valuable resource as part of your effort toward healing, growth, and happiness.
