Doris Mullen (MFT Trainee)
I see you; I hear you. When people are truly seen and heard it can help them pass through the threshold of despair in its various guises. We all have challenges and within those challenges there is great potential for healing and growth.
I am dedicated to responding to human suffering from a variety of causes, even those that seem to come from nowhere at all. Everyone has struggles and assistance can ease the pain, confusion, and anger. A therapeutic relationship creates a unique alliance that can unlock the stumbling blocks to those areas in life that have been unsatisfying. Some struggles come from anxiety, depression, relationships, having to make adjustments within our lives, or issues relating to one’s identity. Humankind is not meant to go it alone; I am here to help support you find the answers within yourself.
I am a native Californian of immigrant parents, but have lived in and visited various parts of the country. I have been married for 23 years and have two grown children. I have worked at a non-profit organization for at risk children and have helped produce documentaries, including one on immigrants in Southern California. My experiences have given me ample opportunities for understanding a variety of views, which have prepared me to join you in your journey as we shine some light into the shadows and discover your more authentic self, allowing for a healthier more fulfilling life, within a safe, contained, and nonjudgmental environment—one step at a time.
